AIR BRAKE
Kobelt's air-applied service brakes, with their precise proportional control over the respective load, are well suited for speed and voltage control applications. The range of air disc brake calipers accommodates a wide range of torque requirements and is configurable to customer specifications.
SPRING BRAKE
Kobelt spring brakes provide safety and support for braking, parking or emergency braking applications. For fail-safe braking, oil pressure or air pressure is used to disengage the mechanical spring assemblies that provide the braking force. When the oil or air pressure drops or is lost for some reason, the brake engages. Otherwise called emergency brakes, spring brakes engage when power is lost.
DIRECT ACTION BRAKES
The 5300 Series Direct Acting Brake can be spring applied for fail-safe applications or hydraulic for tensioning applications. What differentiates a direct-acting brake from a lever brake or caliper brake is the lack of a pivot point or lever arm between the brake actuator and the brake pad. On a direct-acting brake, the brake actuator acts directly on the brake pad.

VENTILATED DISC
Outside of the automotive industry, Kobelt manufactures the widest range of ventilated brake discs in the world. Standard discs vary in thickness from ¾ inch (18 mm) to 4 inches (102 mm) and from 9 inches in diameter (229 mm) to 60.5 inches in diameter (1537 mm). We can also supply solid discs of any size and are more than happy to ream and drill any of our discs to suit your specific application.
